Anyone living in Washington in the summer can expect some very hot weather, but this week has been exceptionally humid as well…making it a little tricky to maintain your perfectly applied makeup. A friend of mine is in a wedding this weekend, and she emailed me in a panic after finding out that the big day would begin at noon with pictures in and around the city! Worried about the sticky temps, she asked me to recommend some products that would help her look fresh from noon ’til night.
Here are some options to help keep your makeup looking like you just put it on, all day long:
Makeup For Ever Primer with SPF 50

This oil-free primer helps your foundation go on, and stay on. It minimizes pores and fine lines, providing a beautiful canvas for a flawless foundation application. Plus, the SPF 50 protects against UVA AND UVB rays, crucial if you’re going to be outside at all.
Makeup For Ever HD Microfinish Powder

Use this ultra-fine loose powder to set your foundation, for a beautiful, even look all day. It won’t change the colors of your makeup, and its super lightweight and translucent finish will help keep oil and shine at bay.
Sephora Brand Matte Blotting Film

These little guys save the day, time and time again. Keep them handy in your purse, and just blot your t-zone when you feel your face getting a little shiny. They won’t pull away any of your makeup, just the oil and shine we don’t want to deal with. Plus, the finish is nice and matte, great for pictures. No one will be able to tell you just spent 6 hours on the dance floor!
